  2. Consider for a moment what that drone strike would entail. A strike against a third-party embassy under diplomatic protection within the city of London, in the middle of Great Britain's home territory. There would be absolutely no possible reaction that Britain could have, without completely surrendering national sovereignty, than to call upon their NATO allies, and declare war against the USA. Interestingly, the US would be bound by that self-same treaty to declare war on itself, but then, the first attack would be so egregious a breach of NATO and UN treaty that both those organizations would probably eject the USA altogether.

    Basically it would be World vs. USA. And mighty as the US military apparatus is, it's not that mighty.
