According to the current theory, this is how wings evolved in birds. Â They were used to aid in running up steep hills that were too steep for the predators to follow. Â Â Chicks can be observed to use their wings this way to climb steep haystacks. Â Â The theory is that this is the same learning that took place eons ago with proto-birds.
