I've had kind of a reverse-of-normal experience today

For about 8 hours I've been thinking, "OK, time to stop writing code and play some video games."  (After all it's a rainy day Saturday) But then I'd write just a little more code.

Typically you would swap the "writing code" and "play some video games" parts of that sentence.
