  1. Without external forces it should be stationary.
If you would start spinning it by yourself, it would stop after x time because of friction. Not so perpetual after all.

  2. +Aivaras Kivilius I think it's a joke.  The gimmick is that when the block turns upside-down the 6 becomes a 9 so that there is a net downward force on the block on the right.

  3. Lol. Yes, 9 is greater than 6!

  4. +Gopindra Hannigan heh, reversed 6 is not 9.  In school of engineering. 😀 We reverse stuff on regular basis. 😀

  5. Except the simulation dies when the block is at the 12 or 6 o'clock positions due to NaN critical errors.

  6. +Chad Nicholas: It may have twice the weight in the 12 o'clock position than in the 6 o'clock position, but because they are on the same vertical, they will cancel each other out.

  7. This works because the weight of the block changes from 9lbs when falling to 6lbs when ascending then back to 9. So whatever magic causes that to happen also suspends the laws of physics. Do a Google image search for "Troll Physics" for more laughs.

  8. It even works up side down.

  9. Good thing you didn't use 8lb blocks.  Cause when they'd reach the bottom, they would be infinite mass, throwing the whole thing into a black hole!

  10. +Aivaras Kivilius is it (6) "a", kinda?….lol…infinitely looking for infinite symbol to show symbolically to +Stephan Vermette his dark side….lol…. ()-)

  11. +Dustin Wyatt  Nobody understands your logic, of course it's perpetual, you have 9 weight that turns into 6 weight. 9 is heavier than 6 so the right side is heavier and it will continue to go down 🙂

    Just saying 🙂

  12. Ti would only work if their were no friction at all

  13. this thing won't work after half a revolution. people are duped by the inverted 9

  14. I wonder if it would collapse with eights if they get on top and bottom…

  15. Wait till quantum physics turns this into reality!! The wonderful world of tomorrow will have things which, in the eyes of today's science, would seem just like magic for us!

  16. Add me guys!
    And I'll add you .  🙂

  17. +Joshua Barkdull Why limit yourself to lbs? There are no units of measure depicted so it might as well be tons, grams, but preferably laughs. Nice joke!

  18. Damn, a lot of people taking this way too seriously.

  19. Not me!! I'm just kidding!!!! Lol
