I haven't done much video gaming in the past couple of years, but I thought I'd try a new game this morning, so I bought Blood Dragon off of Steam.

What the hell is this Uplay crap?  Why do I have to set up an account to play this freaking game?

Gah.  I should have just pirated it.

  1. I think uplay is a service game devs can use to allow game stats tracking. Normally there's a way provided in the game to play without a uplay account if you wish.

  2. it's in all the ubisoft games. Basically just allows you silly rewards like new costumes, themes, weapons, crap like that.

  3. Salt in the wound: Tomorrow is the start of the Steam Summer sale.  However I hear Blood Dragon is worth whatever its full price is.

  4. It's 15 dollars on Steam.
