Awhile ago I bought this cheap gamepad from WalMart and since then I had lost the driver CD. I had a difficult time locating a driver online, but finally did.

Update2: Apparently AVG throws a false positive on this file. It’s not a virus, people. Feel free to use an online virus scanner to double check.
Update3: I can’t believe people are still downloading this file. Does anyone notice that this post was originally wrote over 4 years ago? What are the chances that the “Game Elements PC Recoil” you bought recently is even the same device that this driver was wrote for?

I figured out that you do not need the driver disk. Windows will automatically detect the drivers and set them up. Only problem with using this controller with GTA 4, the up/down and left/right with the right analog stick are backwards. Meaning, when you press up, you look left and vice-versa. Kind of sucks trying toget used to it. Also, whatever you do, try not to get anything on the controller. Hard to clean off.

Thanx I have an old pad that I was trying to get up and going this is perfect for what I was looking for. Please keep it up so others can get theirs to work. Even if it is old most old computers can no longer support the new drivers. I like playing with the oldies and many others do to!
I have used this controller for a long time had it from 2002 ish..
although the *3* button broke and i took it apart to fix the little peace of rubber from sticking and messes up the recoiling , it still keeps going and going and going …
I would rate it currently as a 7 out of 10 for Durability ,Long life, and ease of use…
Its only lack’s are (not wireless) and the lack fine controlling..
I hope to soon get a Xbox 360 wireless controller and see how it stacks up when used with the PC..

I have a gge909, so hopefully it works. I want to try playing TFC, COD 1, Counter-strike 1.6 with it.
I still use this gamepad. I’m trying to use it with Dark Souls PC but it’s not recognizing in the game itself. Anyone else have a problem with this particular game?

4 years or not, I still use this Gamepad and yes, it’s the recoil GamePad. It still works well and my only gripe is that it doesn’t work well with Dark Souls for PC. Other than that, as a basic gaming pad, it works decent so I haven’t felt the need to purchase another more updated one (yet). I have a feeling I’m going to have to though in order to take advantage of Dark Souls and some more modern racing games (NFS:MW). Anyways, thanks for the driver as I’ll archive it this time so I don’t lose it. Cheers.

I still have my controller from when I purchased it in ~2005/2006 to play Grand Theft Auto 3, and the original Mafia on PC.

Outdated drivers! I found a solution… This controller is the exact same as the Phillips SGC2909/27 Retractable. Get those drivers. 🙂
