Menstruation seems like a crappy raw deal for women, so I support anything to make that less of an ordeal for them.
However, as the article notes, it seems like existing TENS devices already do what this new device claims to do and existing devices are quite a bit cheaper. Though, this new device is probably better looking than what you can already buy…and that's not nothing.
This new device claims to be the “off switch for menstrual pain.” And it might actually work.
Using oral contraceptives or over-the-counter pain relievers for period pain? There’s a third option.

+Dustin Wyatt this unit is much smaller and more discreet. If it does what it claims, I would buy them for each of my girls and myself at 3 times the price of the traditional style tens. It could be worn to school or work without anyone noticing.
