You just seem pretty confident that we understand those economies well enough to properly quantify them with a simple "going up" or "going down", and then to further claim that we understand them well enough to claim that we can project those things into the future for a long period of time.

Actually as far as I'm concerned they're right on. Asian population continues to grow, but more slowly than the Americas or Africa, then Africa takes over as medical and industrial systems improve. We'll see (well our children will)
China is not just asia. In this case it includes India, which tosses your poor economy baby theory right out the window too btw. Also China is strongly considering ridding itself of the one child law.
