  2. Is it impossible to imagine someone who believes in God but also approaches the world around them from a scientific viewpoint? These two things are not mutually exclusive.  Closed mindedness can absolutely be found in either the Atheist or Fatihful camps. So can open mindedness.  To suggest otherwise is to reveal a bias for one or the other.

  3. +Joshua Brown  Your use of the word "bias" is empty.  Before you can accuse atheists of some negative bias (I say negative bias, because it's a positive thing to be biased towards modes of thought that lead to accurate models of reality) you have to first show that there is a good reason for them to accept the argument for a god.  Using accusations of bias as you have used it can be used to argue for any belief.

For example, Jenny McCarthy accuses scientists of bias for not believing that vaccines cause autism.

In other words, when you use "bias" in your post here, you're making the same mistake illustrated in the video of accusing someone of being closed-minded.

However, you're correct that a scientific viewpoint and belief in God are not mutually exclusive.  One plausible explanation is that this is because humans are excellent at compartmentalizing their different beliefs, which allows them to hold mutually exclusive beliefs whilst minimizing cognitive discord.

In other other words, you've got an uphill battle to make your case.
